Friday Reminders – May the 4th edition

Good Friday afternoon, Central Family! It’s that time of the week when you get a preview of the weekend’s happenings at Central…

• Pastor Jeff continues the Portraits series in both services this Sunday morning with a message called “Faith’s Tension” – A look at Hebrews 11:13-16.  Services start at 9 and 10:30a!

• This week’s item for the Pack the Pantry campaign is Always Save Dish Detergent, which can be purchased at any Walmart for $.97!  Don’t forget to bring these in, or you can designate your offering as “Pack the Pantry.”

• Sunday evening service is going to be one you won’t want to miss.  At 6p, there will be a special time of worship, Word, and prayer.

Pastor Jeff called those in need of miraculous intervention to fast and pray for great intervention.  In a recent letter to the congregation, he stated, “We all have needs.  At times they come in waves, seasons that can almost break us.  At other times, we consider what we are facing so small in comparison to others. Knowing all needs matter to God, this Sunday night we are in particular focusing on great needs; the kind that clearly remind us without God there is no hope.  Whether it be our own or to stand in for the needs of others, we are going to be agreeing in prayer for God to do miraculous things on the behalf of all who call upon Him!”

Come Sunday evening and see what God can do!

• Special ministry need of the week: International Ministries.  International Ministries is now accepting new host families!  If you are interested in “adopting” an international student, please contact Saori Carlson at scarlson@centralassembly.org.
