About
Jeff Peterson is the Senior Pastor of Central Assembly of God in Springfield Missouri.
Jeff and Carla Peterson were both born in Chicago, where Jeff’s dad was a pastor. However, they didn’t meet until almost 20 years later. Jeff attended Central Bible College, graduating in 1983. He moved to the Phoenix area and began working with Tommy Barnett at Phoenix First Assembly, where he stayed until 1992. During his tenure, he served as youth pastor, then college pastor. Carla’s family moved to Phoenix in the ‘70’s. Carla’s mom wanted her to meet the “new youth pastor” at Phoenix First Assembly. It was soon evident that Jeff and Carla were meant to be together.
Jeff and his wife, Carla, have been married 25 years and have 3 beautiful daughters. Whitney, is newly married to Caleb Williams and is completing her B.A. in Interior Design from Northern Arizona University. Mikaela is in her first year at the James River Leadership College. Aubrey, is a junior at Highland High School.
Jeff is passionate about seeing life-change in people of all ages and backgrounds. He lives a lifestyle of worship, loves the Word of God, revels in the expansion of Kingdom work through missions, and believes authenticity and a missional-focus are keys to effectiveness for today’s church.
